It was a partially sunny afternoon around the Premier University where there was a long Tiring hold-up experience for the vehicles heading towards the Oojo axis, an Akinyele area of Ibadan.
Digging into the cause of the hold-up, was a fatal accident that happened in the early hours of the afternoon between 2 private cars and a public bus.
Our reporter interviewed a man and a Filling station attendant that witnessed the accident but pleaded anonymity, the accident they said was a result of brake failure.
Brake failure on the part of the public bus that was coming from Oojo and heading towards Oja Oba couldn’t apply his brake, the driver lost control of the bus and it ran towards the oncoming vehicle on the other side of the road jumping the divider. The bus ended up having a head-on collision with a Ford Jeep with a direct and terrible impact, also with a Honda car that was also seriously side-brushed.

The other side of the road which is the road leading to Oojo from Sango experienced the thick hold-up initially but all thanks to the Policemen and other Para-military men that came to rescue the other road users.
This is, however, a warning to all other vehicle users to be sure of a working brake before setting off for the day’s job especially the Micra drivers and the Transport buses that plies our roads.
