A new report reaching us from Belgium says that one of the Super Eagles Forward players, Ebere Paul Onuachu has tested positive to Covid-19.
The report also says he will be quarantined for a week. It was reported that among his club members that were tested few days back, everyone tested negative for the dreaded infection except him.
Nigeria international and Genk star and 26-year-old Super Eagles player contracted the infection in the wake of Tuesday’s test conducted by his Belgian top-flight side.
Despite that he has gone into quarantine, the proposed exhibition game will still go on as planned.
Onuachu joined the Blue-White last summer from Danish side Midtjylland and has become a key component of Hannes Wolf’s team.

Before the Belgian top-flight was canceled due to the pandemic, the Super Eagles striker scored 10 goals and provided two assists which helped his side to a seventh-place finish.
His impressive performances melt the heart of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, and gave him chance in the Super Eagles squad in March 2019.
Onuachu made his Super Eagles debut against Egypt in a friendly and has been featured in six games for Nigeria, the three-time African champions.
He was also part of Rohr’s squad that finished third at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
