The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, to seek a court permit to confiscate a den recently discovered in Iwo land.

MygossipshopCrew understands that the Yoruba monarch declared war against ritual killings in his community via a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday, December 9 through Alli Ibraheem, his press secretary.

According to him, a human being that has conscience would never attempt to kill his fellow for money.

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has vowed to seek a court permit to confiscate a den recently discovered in Iwo land.

The monarch added that he is surprised to see people in his domain engaging in ritual killings despite the regular campaigns against the ills. Akanbi described the perpetrators as “bastards” and urged security agencies to conduct a full investigation into the development.

The statement reads in part; “As an ardent campaigner against ritual killings, I condemn in totality the recently discovered ritual den in Iyemoja, Iwo. It is an act against humanity. Ritual killings are a silent war in Nigeria claiming innocent lives every day.

“The perpetrators should be made to face the full wrath of the law. Iwo is known for morality and respect for human lives. Anyone caught dealing in human parts should be treated as a criminal and bastard.

“I have commenced process to confiscate the den discovered in Iwo. I will approach a competent court of law to give a permit to confiscate land/house and surrounding houses of ritual killers. A powerful security committee will be set up as a liaison between the town and the security to give tip-off on suspicious ritual murdering. Doing so will serve as a deterrent to others and chase ritualists dealing in human parts away from Iwo.”
