OYO STATE: Worship Centres, Civil Servants to Resume June 22

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State announced that the worship centers are to open and operate at 25 per cent capacity.

A statement added by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, that public gathering should not have more than 25 persons in attendance.

The state secretariat that was shut on March 27 due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be reopened to staff on grade level 13 and above on Monday, April 27, would now be open to all other workers from Monday, June 22.

“Mosques and Churches are to reopen and operate at not more than 25% capacity. The situation will be reviewed within the first two weeks. All worshippers are to compulsorily adhere to wearing of face masks.

Night clubs will remain shut down. 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. is being aligned with that of the Federal Government will remain the policy of Oyo State till further notice.
