First Bank of Nigeria has given order that all staff at its Marina Branch to subject themselves to self-isolation after an official of the institution tested positive to COVID-19.
First Bank, in a statement released on Tuesday, disclosed that it had thoroughly disinfected the affected branch and its immediate surroundings in accordance to the directive of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. (NCDC).
All these happening because it was just confirmed that one of their staff working in First Bank, Marina branch has tested positive to COVID-19 on 15 June 2020 and all other staff working with this victim as a team may or may not have been affected.
The bank wish to inform its customers that it had deployed a fresh team to replace the self-isolated staff along with additional personal protection kits and equipment as parts of its commitment to the safety of staff, customers and immediate communities.
“We have brought in a fresh team of our staff” they said, who have been given brand new personal protection kits and equipment (PPE) to work with in other to ensuring that there is no risk to any staff working out of the branch or any customer who chooses to bank with us at the same branch. Staff of the branch, whose tests are ongoing now, will not be returning to work until they are medically certified
