The Nigeria Legal Profession has lost two of its senior advocates on the equivalent day.
The Senior Advocates are distinguished as Chief (Sir) Alfred Oghogho Eghobamien and Sir Jadegoke Adebonajo Badejo kicked the bucket on Friday.
Eghobamien was conceived on June 5, 1935 (85 years). He is the dad of Mr. Osaro Eghobamien SAN.
Sir Eghobamien was called to the English Bar and the Nigerian Bar in the years 1972 and 1973 individually. He was deliberated with the position of SAN in 1995.
Also, Badejo, the Principal Partner of Bonajo Badejo & Co, kicked the bucket as he was leaving his home.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Sir Jadegoke Adebonajo Badejo, drooped as he was leaving his home and died.
He was conceived on the sixth of March, 1959 (61 years).
The official GSM line of his law office rang out yesterday, however a source revealed to The Nation how the occurrence occurred.
“He was completely dressed going to step out of the house. He was preparing to venture out from home for work yesterday when he drooped and passed on,” the source said.
Badejo was called to Bar in 1980 and took Silk in 2009 with conferment sequential no. 311.
He had a LL.B from the University of Ife and a LL.M from the University of Lagos, among other qualifications.
The Body of SANs (BOSAN) grieved their demises in two articulations on Saturday.
“As a prominent legal counselor in issues of Edo State legislative issues, Sir Eghobamien spoke to Edo State at the 2005 National Political Reform Conference (CONFAB).
He has later selected a Life Bencher in 2017,” said BOSAN secretary, Mr. Seyi Sowemimo, SAN.
For Badejo, Sowemimo stated: “We profoundly grieve the miserable downfall of our partner and we implore that the Almighty God gives his family the strength to tolerate the hopeless loss.
“Funeral plans as discharged by his family will be declared at the appointed time,” said BOSAN secretary, Mr. Seyi Sowemimo, SAN.
