High Court in Akure the Ondo state capital has sentenced Sotitobire-Prophet Babatunde and 5 others to life imprisonment after they were found guilty of child Kidnapping.
The founder of Sotitobire Miracle Centre, Alfa Babatunde has been accused of child kidnapping of a year old boy called Gold Kolawole that was declared missing during a service section in his church late last year.
Justice Odusola sentenced them after they were found guilty on 2-count charges of Kidnaping and Aiding and abetting to kidnap based on the evidence provided by the prosecutor.

The state government and the state security service had initially taken the prophet to court o the 23rd of December 2019 accusing him of kidnapping the child, Kolawole Gold in his church on the 10th of November 2019.
The General Overseer of Sotitobire Praising Chapel, Akure, Alfa Babatunde was remanded at the Olokuta Correctional Centre after the state security service testified that the pastor and some of the church workers were responsible for the disappearance of the child that is still missing since last year November till date.
The mother, Modupe Kolawole said she suspected foul play, on the sudden disappearance. And unfortunately, the church was not cooperating with the authorities on their investigations.
