A Woman 55 years of age who is one of the Zurich’s zoo keeper has been killed by one of the Zoo’s Siberian tigers.
The zookeeper on Saturday was attacked at around 1 pm,(1100 GMT) in front of the visitors to the zoo. the visitors, when the incident happened were horrified and they alerted the other securities around.
Within a short while, they were able to get the attention of Irina, the Siberian Tiger away from the victim of the attack and out of the enclosure while first responders tried to revive the injured keeper for survival.

The woman died within that short while. Zurich police spokeswoman Judith Hoedl said. An investigation has started into the cause of the incident the reason why the keeper was in the enclosure at the same time as the tiger.
“Our full sympathy is with the relatives of the victim,” Dressen who is the Director of the zoo said and also added that the keeper had been a long-term member of the zoo staff.
The zoo, which was recently opened following a long time shut down due to COVID-19 -related condition, will remain closed down for now. Visitors and the colleagues of the victim who witnessed the attack were receiving psychological counseling, he said the Director concluded.
