The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force announced on Monday that it has relaxed the curfew imposed on the state due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Task Force also made the decision public that the curfew would now run from 10pm to 4am, Also a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, said Primary Six, JSS 3 and SS3 students should resume June 29 which falls to a Monday.
According to his statement, students in final classes are to resume at the end of June to allow them prepared well for the public examinations ahead of them.
“The schools are to observe the COVID-19 rules and regulations as released by the Task Force, ensure that there must be a stationed handwashing tool for washing of hands and must be provided in all schools, while all the students are to compulsorily wear face masks.
“Schools are to be provided with hand washing points with the support of their Parents/Teachers Associations (PTA).
The resumption order will not take effect on the tertiary institutions for now, as Oyo State Task Force would review their situation and determine their state of readiness for resumption.
