Air France, KLM has announced the reconstruction of a document that the citizens of some countries Nigeria and Ghana inclusive must have before they can travel down to United Kingdom after BREXIT.
The Airline that gave information at a press conference says from January 1, 2021,it becomes compulsory for the citizens of some African countries and some Asian countries to get Airport Transit Visa before they can pass through France or Netherlands to UK.
They said along with British Visa, long-stay visa or British residence permit citizen from this countries must still get the Airport Transit Visa if they have to pass through France.

Apart from the UK visa the citizens of these countries are holding, if they possess residence permit from Canada,Japan, US, or from any European countries, they will be able to travel through France or Netherland even if they don’t have the Airport Transit Visa.
What ATV mean and how It can be applied
The Airport Transit Visa travelers to pass through the international zone of one Airport even if they are on connecting flight.
The travellers can visit the French embassy in Nigeria capital, Abuja or the Consulate General of France in Lagos. Services are also available on the website [email protected] or [email protected].
A vital information for Nigerians
There is a waiver of the ATV requirement for Nigerians on transit through schiphol Airport and are travelling via KLM. This is a decision by the Dutch Minister of Justice and Security
However, Nigerian must get UK visa or residence permit that is valid on or before February 1, 2021
