The Beyoncé and Wizkid collaboration, ‘Brown Skin Girl’ has been nominated in the Best Musical Moment Category at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Award.
The song is nominated as part of Beyonce’s visual album for the Lion King, ‘Black Is King.’
In a congratulatory tweet, MTV Awardswrote that, “@Beyonce @SAINtJHN @wizkidayo CONGRATULATIONS. “Brown Skin Girl” from Black Is King is nominated for Best Musical Moment at the #MTVAwards!”
Other nominees in the category include ‘Wildest Dreams from Bridgerton, ‘Agatha All Along’ from Disney and Marvel’s WandaVision, The Kissing Booth, ‘Love & Monsters,’ ‘Cobra Kai’ and ‘To All the Boys: Always and Forever.’
Earlier in the year, “Brown Skin Girl” won Best Music Video at the 2021 Grammy Awards. The song has also won BET Awards and two Soul Train Awards.
